Terms of Service

Welcome to Playmates (playmates.dev). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our AI request gateway, governance platform, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an Organization or accessing the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

Playmates provides an intermediary governance proxy layer that routes AI API requests between your Organization and third-party AI providers. Playmates allows Organizations to set quotas, enforce usage policies, monitor costs, and issue access keys to members.

2. Organization Accounts & Credentials

Organization Ownership: The entity or individual who creates an Organization (“Owner”) is responsible for managing member access, provider credentials, and spending limits.

Provider Keys & Security: You retain full ownership and responsibility for third-party AI provider accounts (e.g., Anthropic, OpenAI) connected to your data plane.

Data Isolation: Playmates operates a separated architecture where provider credentials, prompts, and AI outputs remain isolated within your Organization’s data plane and are never stored on Playmates’ shared Control Plane.

3. Acceptable Use

You agree that your team will not use the Service to:

Bypass API rate limits or violate the terms of service of underlying third-party AI providers.
Reverse-engineer, intercept, or tamper with Playmates gateway routing infrastructure.
Route malicious, illegal, or unauthorized network traffic through the gateway.

4. Third-Party AI Providers

Playmates acts solely as a proxy gateway. We are not responsible for the availability, speed, accuracy, uptime, or content policies of third-party AI model providers.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Playmates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages—including API downtime, service interruptions by third-party providers, or unauthorized access to your cloud infrastructure.
